A new theatre show is bringing girl power to the stage in Oxford.

Fantastically Great Women Who Changed the World is an adaption of suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst’s descendent Kate Pankhurst’s award-winning book.

It will play at the Oxford Playhouse from May 25 to 29 and was brought to life by an all-female creative team.

The show follows inquisitive heroine Jade who breaks away from her class trip to the local museum to take a peek at the Gallery of Greatness.

There, she meets a host of amazing women from history, some widely celebrated, some almost forgotten, from Rosa Parks to Sacagawea, Amelia Earhart to Marie Curie, Mary Seacole to Frida Kahlo, Jane Austen, and Pankhurst’s own relative Emmeline.
