Oxford is one of the most fitness-obsessed cities in the country, new research has revealed.
A new study by BarBend analysed Google search data for each of the UK’s cities, for fitness-related terms such as ‘gyms near me’, ‘workouts’ and ‘healthy snacks’ as well as opposing terms like ‘pizza delivery’ and ‘takeaways near me’ to see which city had the biggest focus on fitness.

It found that Oxford comes in eighth place in the list, with 1,690 fitness-related searches compared to 6,930 unhealthy searches.
The research also found that London came out on top as the most fitness-obsessed city, with a huge 128,300 fitness-related searches compared amount of searches for unhealthy terms, which came to 320,500. The capital had the smallest the smallest difference between the number of healthy and unhealthy searches.
