A ROAD is still closed after a lorry was 'significantly' damaged following a fire yesterday evening.
Oxfordshire County Council Fire and Rescue Service were called at 19:22 on Monday (August 3) to Banbury Road in Swerford near Chipping Norton.
The road near the B4022 junction of the A361, near Swerford, remains closed.
Firefighters dealt with the fire, which damaged the lorry significantly.
They removed the load of hay into an adjacent field for controlled burning.
There were no injuries.
Firefighters are still at the scene, damping down an turning over the straw.
The road is expected to remain shut for the rest of the day as investigations take place.
The fire service thanked the public for their patience if the closure affects their journey.
Individuals are being asked to follow local diversions in place.
