A LORRY has burst into flames on a busy road.
It was travelling on the A4074 near Crowmarsh Gifford when it caught fire.
Thames Valley Police are on the scene with firefighters who are washing it down.
Taking to Twitter the Roads Policing team shared photos of the damage - which has left the lorry completely burnt out.
They explained that they have closed the roads in both directions.
Reassuring drivers on social media, they said: "Roads policing units are working with Oxfordshire fire and rescue services to clear the road following an HGV fire on the A4074 near Crowmarsh Gifford. The road is currently closed in both directions. No one was injured and the load is wast so poses no risk. #P0805 #P5240"
It is not known how it happened.
