Officers want to speak to a man who may have information about shoplifting at a museum in Oxford.

It happened at around 2.10pm on Friday, February 21 in the gift shop of the Oxford University Museum of Natural History in Parks Road.

Around £100 worth of souvenirs from the shop were stolen.

The force had previously appealed for a woman to come forward but she has since been identified. 

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Lee Dix, based at Oxford police station said: “I am keen to speak to the man in the CCTV images as I believe he may have important information about this incident.

“If you recognise the man, or if you believe it to be you, please get in touch with police.

“Anyone with information can contact Thames Valley Police by making a report online, quoting reference 43200060639.

“If you do not have access to the internet, please call 101.

“Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
