FIREFIGHTERS hosed down a car after it caught fire in the middle of the road.
The burnt-out vehicle was seen in Chatham Road this afternoon, just off Oxford's busy Abingdon Road, with the paintwork melted off and the front windows shattered.

Kate Roseman, who passed while walking her dog, said one fire engine remained on scene at 2.15pm but the crew was just packing up.
An Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman confirmed that one crew from Rewley Road station attended at 1.43pm.
No-one was injured and the cause of the fire is still unknown.
