FIRE fighters scrambled to a three-lorry crash and a van fire on the M40 yesterday afternoon.
Crews from Bicester, Kidlington and Eynsham attended the incidents which happened between junction 10 near Ardley and 8A near Wheatley.

Just after 1pm, Bicester crews dealt with a van fire between junction 9 and 8A, using breathing apparatus and hose reels to extinguish it.
After returning from this, at around 3.45pm crews from all three stations were called to deal with a serious road traffic collision on the M40 southbound near Ardley where three lorries had crashed.
Working with South Central Ambulance, Thames Valley Police and the Thames Valley Air Ambulance, they freed the driver from the lorry cab pictured, using hydraulic cutting equipment.
