A TRACTOR left a trail of burning fuel on a country road yesterday as it went up in flames.
Fire crews from Bicester, Wheatley and Aylesbury were called to the blaze near Brill, in Buckinghamshire close to the Oxfordshire border, just before 4pm.
The tractor caught fire whilst being driven to a nearby farm, the driver spotting smoke and getting away from the vehicle.
Firefighters extinguished both the tractor and baler, as well as a strip of burning diesel fuel it had left along Chapmans Lane, off Tram Hill.
They also used equipment from the Environment Agency to prevent further pollution into a nearby stream.
No one was hurt in the incident and Buckinghamshire County Council are arranging the repair of the road.
