SOUTHERN Oxfordshire's Williams Williams Advanced Engineering have unveiled a 'revolutionary cockpit simulator', which it says will be used by engineers to develop the next generation of jet cockpit designs.
Built at the Williams facility in Grove, near Wantage, the state-of-the-art simulator will be delivered to BAE Systems’ training and simulation facility in Lancashire.
The collaboration between the two world-leading engineering companies will be used by engineers, aircrew and customers to optimise future cockpit design.
The simulator features modular features and interactive screens which can be reconfigured as required.
Craig Wilson, Managing Director of Williams Advanced Engineering said: “Having experience in providing our own training simulators for both Formula One and Formula E as well as to automotive customers, it is great to be able to deliver this new system to our partners at BAE Systems.”
