A MAN in his 30s was stabbed in Blackbird Leys Park yesterday, police have confirmed.
Residents described seeing a heavy police presence, as well as helicopters and ambulances in Pegasus Road following the attack.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said officers were called at about 5.20pm by the ambulance service following reports of an assault in the park, which is next to the road.
He added: "Officers attended the scene where a 31-year-old man had received stab wounds.
"He was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged."
A 16-year-old boy, 23-year-old man and 28-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody.
There was initial confusion over whether a second influx of emergency services to the Blackbird Leys road later in the evening was connected to the original incident.
The unrelated callout at 8.15pm was for fire crews and ambulances following a kitchen fire in a flat.
