A fire at a landfill site in Didcot has been put out more than 17 hours after it started.
The blaze started at around 4.30pm and crews were working through the evening and into the night to tackle it.
Residents on the Ladygrove estate complained of a bad smell drifting in.
Some reported the entire estate being "covered in smog".
Crews from Didcot, Abingdon, Wantage, Watlington and Wallingford have all been called upon to help bring the fire under the control since it began yesterday afternoon.
A water carrier from Wheatley was also drafted in.
Met Office Benson said the smoke had reduced visibility to 5000m this morning with a 'very horrid smell'.
