STUDENTS hoped their careers in science would take off when their school hosted a day of activities yesterday.
Headington School’s Big Bang event saw pupils from 10 different schools join sessions such as ‘Chemistry Cluedo’, ‘I am LED to believe’ and ‘noisy toys’.
The scientific spectacular was the first of a series of events aimed at getting young people inspired by science, technology, engineering and maths.
Student Beril Karabulut, 13, said: “My favourite part of the day was the Medical Mavericks.
"It was all medical stuff like using probes to see if you would grow and measuring your heart – it was really fun.
“The Enigma machine was really cool – it was really interesting to know that this was where computers came from."
