A WAITROSE store is planning to put up a number plate recognising camera and a ram-raid-proof bollard in its car park.
The Wantage branch revealed the extra security measures after a series of ram-raids at supermarkets across Oxfordshire to steal cash machines, including at a co-op store in Grove and at Oxford's new Aldi.

It is not known if the bollards are being installed directly as a result of the other raids.
The car park camera also comes after a barrage of complaints about a similar camera introduced at Argos in Wantage, which was issuing tickets incorrectly due to a fault.
