ALL lanes have reopened on the A34 northbound near Abingdon after a vehicle fire brought traffic to a standstill.
The carriageway was blocked earlier between the Marcham Interchange and the Abingdon North junction between 9am and 10.45am, delaying drivers.
Football fans on social media warned those heading to Crewe for a football match between Crewe Alexandra FC and Portsmouth FC to avoid the route.
Traffic jams stretched back more than five miles to Milton. The road is now fully reopened but traffic remains slow.
