A CYCLIST has been taken to hospital with "serious" injuries following earlier crash on the A417 Standford Road.
The crash between a car and a cyclist happened at about 2pm between the A420 near Faringdon and Cottage Road.
South Central Ambulance spokesman David Gallagher said: "A car was in collision with a male cyclist.
"The male patient was transported to the John Radcliffe in a serious condition and the elderly female driver of the car was treated at the scene for shock."
Mr Gallagher also said the Air Ambulance was called to the crash but the cyclist was taken to hospital by land ambulance.
The crash blocked Stanford Road both ways but traffic appears to be easing.
