FIFTY five firefighters spent this morning tackling a fire at Orpwoods Farm in Thame Road.
At around 6.37am, Oxfordshire Fire and Resecue Service received calls from passing motorists on the nearby M40, reporting a building on fire at the farm in Great Milton.
A large multi-use single storey building, which housed several separate industrial units was on fire.
Due to the severity of the fire support from Rewley Road in Oxford, Wallingford, Eynsham and several colleagues from Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire and Rescue Service, was needed to bring the fire under control.
Thames Valley Police were also at the scene controlling the traffic on the A329.
A spokesman for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue, Stuart Garner, said: "Firefighting operations including damping down and salvage work is on-going and crews will be on site for some time.
"Due to these operations and to provide safe working conditions, unfortunately there are currently some minor width restrictions in place on the A329, but the emergency services are working swiftly to minimise the impact and resume normal road conditions for the public."
Investigations continue into the cause of the fire, but it is not thought to be suspicious.
