OXFORD MAGISTRATES
Graciano Alves, 28, of Bodley Road, Littlemore, Oxford, admitted driving a large goods or passenger-carrying vehicle over the 30mph speed limit on the B480 in Chiselhampton, on February 15 last year by driving at 39mph. Fined £100, ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge and handed three points on his driving licence.
Joseph Nolan, 34, of Bicester Road, Kidlington, admitted possessing controlled Class A drugs, 0.92g of crack cocaine and 0.75g of heroin, at the Heyford Hill Sainsbury’s on April 17 last year. Also admitted failing to surrender to custody at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on January 22 this year. Fined £125 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £40 costs.
Jermaine Jones, 33, of Nuffield Road, Wood Farm, admitted harassing Kimberley Russell in Knights Road, Oxford, between January 14 and January 23 by making phone calls and texting her home and work number and visiting her home and work addresses. Jailed for six weeks with a restraining order. Also ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Peter Millard, 47, of Williamson Way, Oxford, admitted failing to notify Oxford City Council of a change in circumstances on December 2, 2002, that Gary Warwick was living at his address which he knew would affect his housing and council tax benefits. Handed a community order with electronically tagged curfew and ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £100 costs.
Clough Dent, 43, of Bartlemas Road, Oxford, admitted dishonestly receiving a stolen Toshiba TV, on September 5 last year. Fined £80 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £40 costs.
Daisy Parsons, 19, of Sturt Close, Charlbury, admitted assaulting Edward Hall by beating him in Charlbury on August 27 last year. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £100 costs.
Andrew Flynn, 30, of RAF Benson, admitted driving a red Mercedes C250 in Clay Lane, Benson, with more than 0.7mcg of THC (Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinal) in his blood, above the specified limit on December 11 last year. Fined £350 and ordered to pay a £35 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 12 months.
David Hatton, 34, of no fixed abode, admitted criminal damage to property under £5,000 by damaging a red Citreon Berlingo belonging to Fiona Patrick in Banbury on January 25. Also admitted committing the offence while subject to a 12-month conditional discharge for stealing two cans of beer from the Co-op store in Bicester. Jailed for six weeks.
Lana Mainland, 18, of Roman Road, Berinsfield, admitted unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm on Megan Thomas in Oxford, on August 16. Given a 12-week prison sentence suspended for a year with a supervision order for 12 months, electronically-tagged curfew rehabilitation activity and ordered to pay £2,000 in compensation.
Sean Jones, 33, of Luther Street, Oxford, found guilty of assaulting James Hemshall by beating him with a vodka bottle in St Aldate’s, Oxford, on November 17. Also admitted being drunk and disorderly in Tesco Express in St Aldate’s, on the same day. Jailed for 12 weeks and ordered to pay £200 compensation.
Robert Cousins, 68, of Saxton Road, Abingdon, admitted £528 criminal damage to a front door in Saxton Road, Abingdon, belonging to Dawn Senior of Sovereign Housing Association on January 12. Fined £60 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Daniel Gillett, 30, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing a H20 steam mop worth £80 from the Wilkinson store in Market Place, Didcot, on January 14. Also stole meat and alcohol from the Co-op in Didcot in July, stole meat, alcohol, air fresheners, dishwasher tablets and other items from Steventon Co-op in August and meat and a sausage roll from the same shop on September 5. Fined £150 and ordered to pay £160 compensation.
John Blandford, 43, of Broom Place, Barton, admitted stealing a Sony Experia Z2 mobile phone worth £299 from Mohammed Abbas in Oxford on September 22 last year. Handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £299 compensation. Also ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £45 costs.
Tiffany Dowie, 26, of Hilltop, Long Crendon, near Thame, admitted two counts of theft by an employee by stealing £240 cash from Sally Russ-Silsby at the Shepherds Crook pub in Crowell, Chinnor, on August 22 last year and stealing a further £150 on August 30 last year. Handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £390 compensation, a £15 victim surcharge and £30 costs.
BANBURY MAGISTRATES
Marvin Barker, 24, of Evenlode, Banbury, admitted assaulting Anthony Flemming by beating him in High Street, Banbury, on November 13 last year. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Eric Cross, 40, of Woodgreen Avenue, Banbury, admitted shinning a light from his home at a police helicopter, so as to dazzle or distract the pilot on December 12 last year. Fined £300 and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Aaron Franklin, 23, of Mudginwell Farm, Somerton, Bicester, admitted drink driving a Vauxhall Vivaro in Church Road, Ardley, Bicester, on January 9. Had 58 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £400 and ordered to pay £40 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Damian Kaszewski, 25, of St John’s Drive, Carterton, admitted drink driving a Mercedes C220 on the A415 in Witney on January 12. Had 76 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £345 and ordered to pay a £35 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
