A CAR which caught fire in the early hours of this morning was safely extinguished by fire crews.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service station manager Mark Ames said a crew from Slade Park fire station was called to the blazing vehicle at 5.20am.
Mr Ames said when the crew arrived at the scene on the corner of Fairacres Road and Iffley Road they found the car "engulfed in flames".
Firefighters using breathing apparatus used foam to put out the fire.
