A 17-year-old has been arrested after a girl was raped in Cowley.
Police said the teenager from Oxford was arrested on Friday on suspicion of the rape of a girl aged 13 or over.
The force only released information about the arrest today.
The arrest is in connection with an incident when a 15-year-old girl was raped in Barns Road on her way to the bus stop in Blackbird Leys Bridge on Sunday, September 20.
She was approached by a male between 2pm and 4pm who walked alongside her before pulling her down to a muddy track at the side of the bridge and raping her.
The 17-year-old has been bailed until November 22.
