THE northbound carriageway of the A34 has reopened in the past 45 minutes after last night's lorry fire.
The lorry caught fire at about 9.15pm as it travelled north on the A34, just after Chilton.
It pulled over on to the hard shoulder.
Police have just tweeted this picture of the blaze.

However because of the smoke billowing across the road, emergency services stopped traffic in both directions.
Five fire engines and a water carrier were called out to tackle the fire.
The southbound carriageway was opened shortly after midnight and the northbound just after 6am today following repairs to the road surface.
