A CAR fire and oil spillage closed the A40 westbound causing severe delays.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service was called at 3.10pm to the incident on the A40 near Ducklington roundabout, towards Burford.
Spokesman Paul Smith said two fire engines went to the scene.
The road had reopened by 4.25pm.
South Central Ambulance Service spokeswoman Catherine Morrow said one ambulance crew and an ambulance officer are also on scene assessing three people for smoke inhalation.
A second car fire on A34 northbound, before the A4130 Milton Interchange, is also causing delays.
