People from across the globe came together for a three-day sketching event held in the city this week.
More than 30 people joined the art workshop at George Street’s Old Fire Station to sketch various city centre locations.
Worskshop participants included Oxford-based residents and visitors from the USA, Canda, Italy, Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.
The workshop, “Pushing Your Sketching Boundaries”, aimed to present the city’s sites from different perspectives.
Organiser Isabel Carmona, from Newbury, said: “I thought it would be nice to do something in interesting key locations.
“Oxford is good for anybody who likes going on location to sketch because it’s so beautiful.
“It was important to share Oxford from a multiple viewpoint.
“Every sketcher has a viewpoint and we are giving them the weapons to show different areas of Oxford and express what they want to express.”
The workshop took place between Wednesday, July 9 and Friday, July 11. The artists visited locations including Radcliffe Square, the Covered Market, Holgate Square and areas surrounding the Sheldonian.
Their daily sketches were then shared in the Arts at the Old Fire Station gallery.
Architect Ms Carmona, 44, said: “It has been exhilarating. I think it has been very well received.’’
