A WOMAN has been charged after a train struck a car on the Sandy Lane railway crossing earlier this month.
Heather Bister, 43, of Austin Drive, Banbury, appeared at Banbury Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
British Transport Police confirmed she had been charged with endangering safety on the railways without intent.
The charge relates to an incident on the crossing in Yarnton on Tuesday, November 12, at about 4.40pm. The case has now been adjourned to Oxford Crown Court on December 6.
Bister was released on conditional bail and told not to drive, not to enter any rail infrastructure and to be accompanied by an adult when leaving her home address.
