Around 100 people braved the bad weather and turned out for the annual World Pooh Sticks championships.
Yesterday the competitors gathered on the bridge at Day’s Lock, Little Wittenham, to see whose stick would make it underneath first.
Alex Marshall, from Mornington near Melbourne in Australia, won the individual competition, which is inspired by the game famously played by AA Milne’s Winnie the Pooh.
The winning team was “We don’t spell love, we feel it”, made up of two men and two women from Oxford.
