A REPLICA of a teddy bear that appeared in the 1980s television series Brideshead Revisited is back home.
Ian Pout, owner of Teddy Bears of Witney, donated the replica of Aloysius to The Soldiering on Through Life Trust so it could be auctioned off.
By coincidence, Brideshead stars Jeremy Irons and Anthony Andrews were hosting the auction and so signed the bear.
Mr Pout, pictured, who also owns the original Aloysius, decided his rightful home was at Teddy Bears and bought him back for £2,500.
He said “I am absolutely delighted to have Aloysius back, especially now he has been signed by Anthony Andrews and Jeremy Irons.
“It’s a great bit of fun for people to come and look at.”
The Soldiering on Through Life Trust supports people in the armed forces who face financial difficulties.
