CHIPPING Norton set member Sir Charles Dunstone is now Oxfordshire’s wealthiest person, with a fortune of around £1,080m.
The Carphone Warehouse founder is 78th on The Sunday Times Rich List.

Mr Dunstone is closely followed by Wafic Said, who owns Tusmore Park near Bicester and who gave £20m towards the Said Business School in Frideswide Square. The Syrian financier is worth £1,000m and is in 84th place.
Sir Martyn Arbib, whose investment company Invesco Perpetual is based in South Oxfordshire, is in 268th position and worth £320m.
Another Chipping Norton set member, Elisabeth Murdoch, along with her husband Matthew Freud, is worth £255m and is in 315th place.
Former Oxford United owner Firoz Kassam, who still owns the club’s home ground as well as Heythrop Park near Chipping Norton, is worth £214m but his wealth has fallen by £3m and he is in 372nd place.
Bookshop owner Nigel Blackwell and his family are in 414th place and worth £195m.
