Police are hunting a drug-addicted prostitute after she failed to attend court.
Amy Painton was issued with an interim antisocial behaviour order at Oxford Magistrates' Court on Monday last week.
The order, sought by Oxford City Council, banned her from 39 council-owned flats across the city.
Magistrates heard Painton befriended vulnerable tenants living in temporary accommodation reserved for the homeless. She then moved in and used the flats for prostitution and drug-taking.
Painton was due back in court on Friday to be served with a full Asbo, but she failed to appear - allegedly a breach of the interim order.
Pc Jim Abram, of Thames Valley Police, told the Oxford Mail officers were actively seeking to find the 28-year-old.
He said: "We're looking for her - patrols are out."
Painton's 39 mini-brothels stretched from Blackbird Leys to Summertown, Marston and Iffley Road. Residents living near the flats welcomed the ban, after suffering problems linked to her activities.
If Painton breaches her Asbo, which lasts two years, she could be jailed for up to five years.
Oxford City Council declined to comment on the alleged breach.

More proof that ASBO's are useless! Perhaps if authorities had jailed her for prostitution, which the last time I checked is against the law, she wouldn't be out plying her trade. All the ASBO did is move her to another street and made her another neighborhood's problem.

Maybe the police should set a humane trap for her, using some crack as bait. Better still, leave a trail of cocaine that leads directly to the police station to help lure her in.

The government knows the answer to these problems, why not give a mandatory 3 month rehab sentence in a secure location for anyone caught taking class A drugs? If they end up back on it, make it 6 months next time & so on. Somewhere that they are FORCED to go cold turkey, it's quite simple & 3 months later the users would be the most grateful of all, no criminal record needs to be created to give them a better chance after recovery, the same thing should be done to any women caught on the streets selling themselves, I think this government knows ways to sort out all of these social problems but why would they if there is no short term financial benefit to them? Our government benefits financially from the sale of drugs, no matter what anyone says, otherwise how would drugs get into the country in the first place? Its easily solved if you put the right measures in place. The said 3 month rehab programme, life sentences for class A traffickers & dealers, let's get whores like this off the streets once & for all & start cleaning the streets of Britain!

Isn't it sickening that these men are making nasty, cheap comments about a young woman going through a dreadful time. Do none of you have daughters? This woman has been humiliated by this newspaper and the editor should be addressing the fact that while he prints her picture he is publishing advertisements daily for women plying the same trade under a different name. Who keeps this industry going? MEN. Yet it is men who are talking about this woman as if she is not a human being. Her life is worth just as much as any of yours. Her family are bound to be experiencing the fear and shame, pain and degradation that she is. But while you're calling her names and having your little jokes at her expense, ask yourself 'Who commits rape, domestic violence, 'honour killings'?' The same type of man as those who pay vulnerable girls for sex.

Soliciting is illegal because it is antisocial wheras an escort agency isn't.
