A "stylish eco-glamping site" located in North Wales has been named among the best affordable short breaks in the UK.

With the cost of living continuing to rise along with the price of hotels, it can sometimes be hard to find a cost effective place to stay if you are holidaying in the UK.

With that in mind, The Times has come up with a list of the top 12 best affordable short breaks in the UK.

From converted rooms in pubs to rustic campsites and everything in between, this list is sure to have something for everyone.

Introducing the list, The Times said: "UK breaks are so expensive! That’s the refrain of British holidaymakers each summer, as they browse luxury beach hotels and remote rentals in the most sought-after areas of the country.

"But the budget British hideaway still exists — you just have to know where to find it.

"An affordable stay here can look wildly different: the good old British pub, say, converted with stylish hotel rooms upstairs and great grub downstairs.

"A rustic campsite or hip glampsite surrounded by natural beauty, where kids can join in activities and grown-ups can enjoy peaceful nights by the campfire.

"Log cabins and shepherd’s huts can add a bit of back-to-nature magic while saving you money on a traditional hotel room."
